Hello, my name is Jesse Essenpreis. I grew up on a horse farm north of Lebanon. I am the oldest of four children. I have two brothers (Wyatt and Ryan) and a sister (Paige).

I attended Lebanon High School where I played both soccer and basketball all four years. After graduating from LHS in 2004, I attended McKendree University on academic and soccer scholarships. While at McKendree I began to develop a real passion for teaching and coaching. During my time at McKendree I started my coaching career at LHS. I was a varsity assistant for soccer and the Freshman/Sophomore boys’ basketball coach, which I continued from 2004-2010.

I graduated from McKendree in December of 2008 with my bachelor degree in Physical Education. Since then I have gone back to receive endorsements in both Drivers Education and Health Education.

In 2009, I received my first teaching job in Belleville with District 118, traveling around teaching PE at different schools within the district.

I was hired at Aviston in 2010. I teach K-8 Physical Education and I am the head coach for girls’ basketball team. I am also Aviston’s Athletic Director.
