Duties:
- Greet students, staff and visitors
- Answer phone, direct calls and relay messages as necessary
- Operate an organized and efficient main office
- Sort and distribute mail and office deliveries
- Perform as secretary to district administration
- Register students, oversee student transfers of enrollment
- Maintain accurate records/files of district and student information
- Track and report student attendance
- Prepare and submit periodic district reports to regional and state levels
- Submit student information to the Illinois State Board of Education
- Enter data into database programs and student information systems
- Maintain and track supplies – requisitions, purchase orders, etc.
- Compile and distribute daily, weekly and monthly correspondence to staff and parents as directed by administration.
- Utilize text messaging applications and social media to communicate district news
- Create and distribute monthly school newsletter
- Perform minor medical assistance such as caring for ill or injured student or administering medicine
- Performs all other necessary duties as assigned by the superintendent

District Technology Coordinator
Employment Information
Type of Employment: Full-time permanent (12 months), starting January 4, 2021
Position Category: Non-certified, IMRF position
Reports to: District Superintendent
Grade Level(s): Pre-K – 8th Elementary Building
Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or Equivalent (Bachelor’s Preferred) in Computer Information Technology or Information Systems | Experience in Information Systems and Technology, preferably in a school setting Google Administrator Training
Salary/Benefits: $43,000 annually minimum, dependent on experience
Health Insurance: Single Paid | 12 Vacation Days, 3 Personal Days, 11 Paid Holidays
Duties:
- Operate Helpdesk
- Provide onsite response to classrooms
- Manage lockout and user access
- Communicate with outside resources for assistance as needed
- Maintain calendars for tech use
- Maintain Technology Hardware
- Develop and maintain inventory system
- Maintain technology devices in classroom and labs in orderly manner
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs
- Purchase supplies
- Direct and/or assist in installation and preparation of new equipment
- Maintain check in-checkout and end of day procedures
- Support and assist superintendent in long range technology planning
- Obtain competitive quotes/bids
- Participate in professional development to support district goals
- Manage network and access to software/apps
- Secure username/password operations for staff and students
- Virtual network/virtual machine environment
- Aruba Wi-Fi network
- Printing/photocopy connections
- Content filtering and firewall with assistance from vendors
- Manage district email accounts
- Develop and maintain all single sign-on student logins for software

- As Google Administrator, train staff in appropriate use

Salary/Benefits: $11.50/hour, 3 personal days, 6 paid holidays
Duties: Aviston Elementary School District #21 is seeking motivated applicants to fulfill the position of Paraprofessional/Teacher’s Aide who demonstrate a passion for working with students and a team mentality.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working with individual and small groups of students to reinforce academic skills to improve student achievement
- Consulting with teachers to identify student needs and strategies to help with student academic performance
- Assist faculty members in creating instructional materials, tracking student progress and managing student behavior in the classroom
- Provide student supervision in classrooms, common areas and the playground
- Utilize relevant technology to support and enhance instruction
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Illinois Paraprofessional License
