Graduate of Southern Illinois University @ Edwardsville w/ a BS (1990)
Graduate of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston w/ a MS (1995)

I began my career in education in 1990 as a first grade teacher at All Saints Academy in Breese, Illinois and then taught fourth grade in Olney, Illinois for six years.  In 1997, I landed a junior high language arts position at Aviston Elementary and in a variety of positions, have been here since.

Personal: 
I grew up in Damiansville with seven siblings and wonderful parents.  I married Duane Niemeyer and we have two children, Lucy and Sam.  We built a home north of town in 2000 and consider Aviston, home.  It’s a great town with great people and a great school!

I really enjoy meeting new people each year through my students and look forward to getting to know you and your child(ren)!
