Hello fourth graders!! I am Sarah O’Brien.  I love being a part of the Aviston school and community.  My daughter Harper and I live here in town and truly enjoy it.  Harper was born September 15, 2010, and she keeps me busy.  Besides spending time with Harper, I also enjoy golfing and being with friends and family.

I graduated from Mater Dei High School in 2002 and from McKendree College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.  I also have my middle school endorsements in language arts and math.  I was hired here at Aviston for the 2006-2007 school year as the second fourth grade teacher.  Since then, I’ve been teaching math, science and language arts and wouldn’t give it up for the world.  Also, I coached 5th  and 6th grade girls basketball and volleyball for a few years until I had Harper but am excited to say that I will be assisting with basketball again.
